A gold-lane draft — six roles, five positions, and spells that match the first gank

This study is the draft screen most ranked squads argue about once the lobby hits Mythic. You field five heroes, one battle spell each, and an emblem. The roles in the cast are Tank, Fighter, Assassin, Mage, Marksman, and Support, and plenty of kits wear two. Those are labels. A marksman with no wave is still a marksman, and it will lose the turret to a planned fighter.

The shape we like is boring on purpose. A roam opens the first bush. A jungler keeps the Turtle side honest. Spells are chosen for that minute — Flicker where the gank is long, Retribution where the camp is the point, Purify where the crowd control is thick. Miya, Bruno, and Layla are all legal on gold. None of them is “the” pick. Custom rooms exist so you can fail with friends before Ranked spends the star.

We copied the wave-first order into a custom room and the marksman stopped touring the river. The star count was ordinary. The path was finally the one we planned, which is the only compliment this study needs.

Patches move the edges of this draft. June 2026 added Hirara and closed the public count at 133 heroes in season 41. October 2026 restated 42 seasons and 24 casual modes. If a spell in this paragraph no longer matches your hero page, the client is right and this page is late. Write [email protected] or call +64 9 846 1776 with the spell name you see.

More frames sit on the Frames page: a turret line, a mid burst, a role pair, and a Turtle pit. The Primer keeps the standing map, including three turrets on every lane. Nothing here is a replay file you can paste into Mobile Legends, and nothing here is for sale. Moonton still owns the game.
